Opened in 1850 by the Cork Blackrock & Passage Railway on its 3 foot gauge line from Cork to here (extended later to Crosshaven), this station closed in 1932.
View north west towards the base of the water tower which was situated near the end of the platform. The platform was located where the car park now is, but all trace has been removed.
