Dublin Connolly railway station
Dublin Connolly railway station
Opened in 1844 as "Dublin" by the Dublin & Drogheda Railway, later part of the Great Northern Railway (Ireland), as the city terminus of its line (platforms to the left). The station was renamed "Amiens Street" in 1854, and then Connolly in 1966 In 1891, the platforms to the right were added by the City of Dublin Junction railway which gave through running to the south via Tara Street and Westland Row station, now called Dublin Pearse. These platforms are now on the Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) system.
