TQ1593 : LOOP, Bentley Priory Nature Reserve
taken 6 years ago, near to Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire, England
Starting at the Thames at Erith and finishing on the opposite north bank at Coldharbour, the Loop (London Outer Orbital Path) is 150 miles long, passing through numerous woods, commons and parks and on waterside paths alongside the Grand Union Canal and London rivers such as the Colne, Crane, Cray, Darent and Ingrebourne.
Bentley Priory Nature Reserve is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve in Stanmore in the borough of Harrow, surrounding the stately home of Bentley Priory. It is a 55 hectare mosaic of ancient woodland, unimproved neutral grassland, scrub, wetland, streams and an artificial lake, an unusual combination of habitats in Greater London.
