Barrack wall and watch tower at Aiken's Barracks, Dundalk

This military establishment opposite Dundalk Docks is the headquarters of the 27th Infantry Battalion of the Irish Army. The battalion, established in 1973 as part of the 2nd Infantry Brigade to provide Aid to the Gardai in the North East Border sector, is nicknamed the "Border Bunnies".
