SW7251 : Faulting and trial level at St Agnes

taken 6 years ago, near to St Agnes, Cornwall, England

Faulting and trial level at St Agnes
Faulting and trial level at St Agnes
Two major faults can be seen here, both partly mineralised. Someone has had a go and started an unsuccessful trial level. Both faults are more than likely related to orogenic collision then later orogenic collapse during the Carboniferous-Permian Variscan event.

Note the offset of the steeper fault by the shallower one.
