Kent and East Sussex Railway is a heritage railway running between Tenterden in Kent and Bodiam in East Sussex.

The Headcorn to Robertsbridge line was closed in 1954.

In 1974, sections of the railway were reopened from Tenterden to Rolvenden Station, and has subsequently been extended to Bodiam. It is now is a successful tourist attraction.

There have been plans for many years by volunteers for The Rother Valley Railway to link Bodiam back up to Robertsbridge, which would link the line back to the main railway network. It was due to be completed in 2010 but has been delayed. A 3.5km length of track needs to be relaid from Junction Road to Robertsbridge, and crossings of two busy roads, including the A21.

The route between Tenterden to Headcorn station is still visible but has been built on in places, so any reinstatement is now impossible.
