Located in Brecon Enterprise Park at the southwest edge of Brecon. In January 2019, a small white-on-red Argos sign is on the right side of the much bigger Homebase sign.
Argos

Argos was founded in 1973 by Richard Tompkins. The first purpose built store was opened in Canterbury in 1973.

Argos is a catalogue based shop. Goods are selected from the catalogue, purchased, and collected from a counter. It was initially a rebranding of a Green Shield Stamps catalogue. Read more at wikipedia LinkExternal link

Homebase

Homebase is a home improvement store and garden centre, with 350 stores across the UK. Together with its sister company Argos (with 750 stores), it forms part of Home Retail Group.
Homebase was founded in 1979 as part of Sainsbury's, who opened the first store in Croydon. Sainsbury's sold the Homebase chain in 2000.
