Kerry Cliffs :: V3571

Kerry Cliffs are widely accepted as the most spectacular cliffs in Kerry. The cliffs stand over 1000ft (305 metres) above the wild Atlantic and were formed in a desert environment 400 million years ago.

Geo or Inlet

One of the first stages of wave erosion. The waves pick out a line of weakness in the cliff forming this feature. Hydraulic action and abrasion are important processes.
