Sonny's Bridge on the Glen River
Sonny's Bridge on the Glen River
This is the highest bridging point on the Glen River. The bridge provides access to the Thomas's Mountain granite quarry. The bed of the river is covered with deposits of granite blocks. Below the bridge the country rocks are ancient Silurian greywackes.
