This church has its origins in Saxon times though most of the church we see today dates from the 15th century. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building by English Heritage. The tower is typical of Somerset and has three stages. Inside there is a magnificent painted ceiling ST4224 : Muchelney, St. Peter and St. Pauls church: Original wagon roof painted with angels in the early c17th 1. The picture is taken from the car park for Muchelney Abbey.
