Salisbury Railway Station
This is a view of Salisbury Station from Platform 5.
The current station is an amalgamation of the former Great Western and London and South Western Railways originally from 1856 and 1859.
In 1906, there was a catastrophic accident when an express train collided with a milk train as it passed through the station. It was the worst rail disaster in the city's history with the loss of twenty eight lives.
The station buildings and canopies are listed Grade II by English Heritage.
