Kelvinside railway station (site), Glasgow
Opened in 1896 as by the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway, part of the Caledonian Railway, on the line from Possil to Dumbarton via Whiteinch, this station closed in 1960.
View north towards Maryhill Central and Possil. The former station building was still extant when this image was taken, in use as a pub. The rear extension (nearest the camera) was originally built of wood. Below the building, the remains of the two platforms can be seen and leading down to the far platform, the outline in the wall of the footsteps can also be seen.
