Early lambs in Penshurst Park
Early lambs in Penshurst Park
Penshurst Place dates from 1341 and the Great Hall is a wonderful example of medieval architecture. It was the birthplace of the Elizabethan poet, courtier and soldier, Sir Philip Sidney. The original house is one of the most complete examples of 14th-century domestic architecture in England still in its original location.

This view across Penshurst Park shows the attractive Gothic lodge dating from 1840 - see also Link The lambs seemed to be quite early but although this was February 2019, the end of the month produced the hottest winter days in the UK on record. This was also a very warm day.
