Halfway House as was - Box, Gloucestershire
This is the Halfway House pub (public house) at Box (OS Explorer 168). It stands on the plateau of Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons between Stroud SO 8505 and Nailsworth ST 8499 and the building dates from 1799. In more recent years, in spite of vocal local protest, it was bought by a charitable trust who were to run it as a cafe. Time photo taken not available.
