Madams Bridge - Fethard, County Tipperary
This is Madams Bridge - Droichead Madam - which crosses the River Clashawley - An Ghlais Alainn - at the western end of Fethard. It was built in 1740 as a three arched limestone bridge which was widened on its north side in 1840 - 45. This river rises at Laffansbridge S 1946 and flows through Fethard on the way to its meeting with the River Anner (An Annuir) S 2430 away to the south-east of Fethard. Time photo taken not available.
