Mine Tailings near Swarth Gill
This seemingly ordinary spread of limestone next to the stream is the remains from a trial adit that was dug into the low hillside here about, probably to access the mines further over on the moor. It is not known how successful it was, but given the small amount of spoil I would hazard that they gave up before they reached any profitable ore.
