Bournemouth: where have the potted palm trees gone?
Bournemouth: where have the potted palm trees gone?
Around three weeks ago, we stood under this canopy at the side of the Pier building, in similar weather to today - much windier and no less wet. (SZ0890 : Bournemouth: Storm Gareth has toppled some palm trees)

The palm trees in what look like giant flowerpots had been blown over in the storm that day, and a few days later they had been put back up. However, today they are nowhere to be seen - perhaps removed as a precaution with today's high winds well forecast yesterday.
