On the left, the south bank protrudes as Stanny Point. Cob Island, still marked on the map, no longer shows above the high-tide level. On the right, the disused jetty linked to the former brickworks. Along the river frontage, a series of expensive houses mean that the public right of way has to swerve inland away from the river frontage.
