SE7090 : Harome Manor House

taken 5 years ago, near to Hutton-le-Hole, North Yorkshire, England

Harome Manor House
Harome Manor House
The title might appear strange as the location is Hutton le Hole and not Harome [SE6482], but this is the reconstructed manor house which was brought to the Ryedale Folk Museum in 1970 as a wreck, and rebuilt on site to look as it would have done in the 17th century. The building was originally erected circa 1550 and was occupied for almost exactly 400 years before being reduced to a rather neglected store.
