Old Town Road, St Mary's
Old Town Road connects Old Town with Hugh Town and is part of the A3112. The A3112 incidentally is Great Britain's most southerly classified road - although the most southerly point the road reaches is actually just ahead round the bend. Another curiosity is the road sign - one of the very few standard road signs anywhere on the Isles of Scilly. It is here because the road is approaching the Five Islands Academy which serves as both the primary and secondary school for St Mary's and the secondary school for Bryher, St Agnes, St Martin's and Tresco.
