Pebble Rock, Usan
Pebble Rock has long been associated with agates which are found along this coast. A nearby, ruined cottage, of which only the gable end is left standing, is said to be the 'Pebble Hoose' where a hermit once lived by selling the agates he collected. It is widely thought that the legendary 'Blue Hole' which supplied Professor Heddle many of his finest agates, is situated in this area.
