taken 5 years ago, near to Camden Town, Camden, England
The Aga Khan Centre is a building housing organisations for education, learning and cultural exchange into Muslim civilisations. It houses Aga Khan Foundation UK, Aga Khan University Institute for the study of Muslim Civilisations, and the Institute of Ismaili Studies. The large 9-floor block in the King's Cross redevelopment was designed by Fumihiko Maki, a Japanese architect. It features small gardens in Islamic tradition, some as balconies, some as roof gardens.
On a weekend in June each year over 200 garden squares and other gardens are open to the public. The event is organised by London Parks and Gardens Trust.
