Assorted long-distance trails
Assorted long-distance trails
The signs on the post indicate a left turn for the Sandstone Way and the River Tyne Trail. The Sandstone Way is an off-road cycle route traversing Northumberland from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Hexham. The River Tyne Trail is a walking route promoted by the Daft as a Brush Cancer Care organization. On the level crossing gate is another sign indicating that Route 72 of the National Cycle Network (Hadrian's Cycle Way) keeps straight on over the railway..
