SP4640 : Oxford Canal: Samuelson Bridge Number 168

taken 5 years ago, near to Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Oxford Canal: Samuelson Bridge Number 168
Oxford Canal: Samuelson Bridge Number 168
From the Nicholson's Guide, this structure is called Samuelson Bridge, although it carries Tramway Road over the canal, so it is also known as the Tramway Road bridge. From old large scale Ordnance Survey maps the original tramway linked various agricultural implements factories, all parts of the Britannia Works, with sidings on the main railway line near to Banbury station.
