taken 5 years ago, near to Glasgow, Scotland

McLennan Arch, Glasgow Green
McLennan Arch, Glasgow Green
The arch was originally part of the Assembly Rooms, which were demolished in 1890. It was relocated in 1892 and again in 1922, forming the western entrance to Glasgow Green since. It is named for the person financing the first move. Through the arch can be seen the Nelson Column and, in front of it, the colourful sculpture commemorating the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
