Silver Jubilee boat, Hornsea
Silver Jubilee boat, Hornsea
An old boat had been extensively and amusingly 'yarn-bombed' as had the adjacent boat house, to mark the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Hornsea Inshore Rescue Boat LinkExternal link .

The Inshore Rescue is an independent charity established in 1994 with strong support of the local community, which believed its services were needed in a coastal town that attracts thousands of visitors throughout the year.

From humble beginnings in a pig shed to a new purpose-built boat house and sea safe educational centre, its volunteers operate year-round. (For a wider view including the unadorned boat, see TA2147 : Boat Launch Office and Lookout )
