Merry Maidens Stone Circle
Merry Maidens Stone Circle
The Merry Maidens is a late neolithic stone circle comprising 19 granite megaliths. Unusually, it is believed to be complete and also nearly perfectly circular with a diameter of 78 feet. The stones are evenly spaced at 12 foot intervals with a larger gap of 20 feet on the eastern side of the circle.
