Courtyard, Restormel Castle
Courtyard, Restormel Castle
Located on high ground overlooking the River Fowey north of Lostwithiel, Restormel Castle is one of the four chief Norman castles of Cornwall. The present circular structure, built in the late 13th century, was a luxurious retreat for its medieval owners, but was all but ruined by the 16th century.
