Read across from left to right the names are in chronological order in which the died.
Ampton Hall, a private property taken over for use by the Red Cross on 16th October 1914, it continued in this role until 31st January 1919. In all, 6568 sick or wounded soldiers were treated there, of these only 40 didn't survive.
