Penryn Methodist Church, Lower Market Street, Penryn
Grade II Listed nonconformist chapel with 1891 datestone. By architect John Witham Trounson (c.1850-c.1896) on the site of a number of earlier houses. Builder Carkeek; stonework John Freemand & Co. The foundation stone was laid by Trounson on 17th August 1891 and the opening ceremony was held on 13th February 1893. Approximate cost of land and building was £4,900. In August 1927 an appeal was launched for a new chapel electric lighting system. It was damaged by bombing in 1941 and 1943.
