SY8080 : West Lulworth: east from Swyre Head cliff edge

taken 5 years ago, near to West Lulworth, Dorset, England

West Lulworth: east from Swyre Head cliff edge
West Lulworth: east from Swyre Head cliff edge
This Swyre Head, not to be confused with another, equally spectacular, one of the same name a few miles east, is the first summit on the coast to the west of Durdle Door, and is a very steep section of the coast path.

Here, we daringly approach the very edge of the cliff as the chalk face curves round to meet the grassy top. The view is surely one of the best coastal views in the land, with Durdle Door just ahead of us and St Aldhelm's Head in the very distance.
