The Barley Sheaf, Old Bridge Street, Truro
The Barley Sheaf is one of Truro's oldest pubs, originally established in 1819. The building has always been an Inn. Prior to 2017 it seems to have been just The Barley and before that in at least 2009 The Riverbank. Searching my directories for the Barley Sheaf I find; 1783 pubs and inns aren't listed; 1830 Edwin Williams; 1844-1856 William Tapp; 1873 Henry James Lean (& provision & forage dealer); 1883 unable to locate it; 1889 Thomas Reed; 1893-1897 Mrs Elizabeth Ellen Reed; 1902 John William Binmore; 1906 Jasper Glynn Kitto; 1914 James Evans.
