A picturesque gorge near the confluence with the Altnaheglish River. Viewed from the bridge carrying the track towards Altnaheglish Reservoir.

According to legend, in the late 6th century (after St Patrick banished the serpents from Ireland, a great serpent (Lig-na-Paiste) was left behind and lived in a pool here, before being capture by a local holy man, St Murrough O'Heaney and banished to the waters of Lough Foyle.
