NY9900 : After the flood [3]

After the flood [3]
After the flood [3]
Rocks and rubble strewn across what is usually a pleasant area of greensward next to the beck in Bleaberry Gill. On a summer afternoon one might expect to see cars parked here and people enjoying a picnic, but it will be a major effort to remove this stone. Tidying up this area after the flood of 30th July 2019 will be fairly low priority compared with the damage done to bridges [one road bridge demolished and another severely damaged], with at least 9 foot bridges washed away or severely damaged, plus several paths rendered unusable due to being washed away of covered by landslides. All of this in a relatively small area of maybe 10 miles by 5.
