TL1994 : Parish Cemetery, Farcet, Cambs

taken 5 years ago, near to Farcet, Cambridgeshire, England

Parish Cemetery, Farcet, Cambs.
Parish Cemetery, Farcet, Cambs.
This unconsecreted 'lawn cemetery' is owned and run by Farcet Parish Council. (Farcet is pronounced locally as "Fasset"). As a “lawn cemetery" all graves are required to have flat grassed surfaces and only headstone type memorials are permitted. No flower vases, flowers, plants, shrubs etc. may be placed or planted on or around graves, other than in a receptacle for flowers that has been approved by the Parish Council as part of a permanent memorial. The B1091, the main Peterborough - Yaxley road (a.k.a. Broadway) can be glimpsed in the distance through the archway of the cemetery chapel. The disused chapel currently houses a small Fenland-related museum open between 12-3pm on Sundays. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )
