Thorley
Thorley village is divided into three parts – the Manor in the west, Thorley in the middle, around the crossroads seen here, and Thorley Street to the east (though that name isn't much used these days). The road to the right is Hill Place Lane, heading up towards the main Yarmouth to Newport road. To the left, Broad Lane heads towards Shalcombe and the main Freshwater to Newport road. The road ahead, looking west, goes to Yarmouth or Freshwater, depending which way you go at the T-junction about 1k away. Behind the camera, the road east heads for the centre of the Island, towards Carisbrooke and Newport.
