Council chamber, Inverness Town House
Host to a UK cabinet meeting on 7 September 1921, the first time it has been held outside London. The Prime Minister, David Lloyd George, was on holiday in Gairloch, when he called the meeting to discuss the situation in Ireland.
Also hosted a Scottish Government cabinet meeting on 5 August 2008, with First Minister Alex Salmond.

Probably not used for many council meetings nowadays, they are usually at the council HQ on Glenurquhart Road.

The stained glass windows commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, with the queen in the centre, and the 10 prime ministers of her reign in the left and right windows.
