Chalk buttresses helping to support the cliffs at Haven Brow
The photo shows rock buttresses supporting the chalk cliffs at Haven Brow. Typically a wave-cut notch in a buttress may develop through a series of erosional features such as a cave, an arch, a stack and a stump. These coastal changes increasingly expose the cliff face to erosion and cliff falls.
