Much altered over the years, 1930s Glenholme was designed by Lomas and Barrett as a combined shop, cafe and dwelling to replace the former cafe that came from the Iron Pier in Douglas. This had a sun terrace at first floor level that was used as part of the cafe. On the centre section, to overcome the expense of glass blocks, a timber window frame was made, divided into six inch square panes to give the same effect. The garage was added 2012/13, as it took a year for the builder to finish it.
