Description of Tom Thumb's Grave, Tattershall
This photo shows the description of Tom Thumb's grave in Holy Trinity Collegiate Church. It says the following:

Tom Thumb's Grave

From all around the world they come
To see his small gravestone,
Flowers commemorate the spot,
And though he lives alone
So many others share the church
And lie beneath the feet,
Of visitor and villager
Who visit Tom's retreat.

He passes time here quietly,
Since death in 1620
And if we could but talk to him
I'm sure he would tell plenty,
Of life and time in Tattershall
A world away from ours,
How much of Lincolnshire he saw
Beyond the church and castle towers.

So enjoying cake and cup of tea,
Reflect a little on Tom,
REAL history is far more exciting
Than a "something@somewhere.dot.com"
