The interconnector crosses Ashfield Golf Course and then passes over Cregganduff Road before heading north towards Cullyhanna, Newtownhamilton and Tandragee.
North-South Interconnector

The national transmission systems of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are connected via a double circuit 275kV line, linked to the RoI system near the village of Inniskeen and crossing the Border at Drummuckavall near Crossmaglen before linking with the Northern Ireland transmission system at Tandragee. Capacity reliance on the 275/220 kV cross-border circuit is restricted to 100MW North to South and 200MW South to North.
