The Bridge, Burton-upon-Trent, Staffs.
A skittle alley above this three-roomed pub. In 1981 two former employees of the Ind Coope brewery in Romford bought the pub, changed its name from The Fox & Goose to The Burton Bridge, recognising the existence of the well-known bridge 20 yards away from it. Then in 1982 they set up their own brewery, the Burton Bridge Brewery at the rear of pub which is known locally as “The Bridge”.
