SW5842 : Deformed turbidites

taken 5 years ago, near to Gwithian, Cornwall, England

Deformed turbidites
Deformed turbidites
Turbiditic mudstones and siltstones belonging to the Mylor Slates Formation (Devonian) show excellent deformation structures in these sea-washed outcrops. I particularly like the swarm of tension-gashes that occupy the uppermost bedding units below a significant sandstone package. Is this art or geology?
