Stoneygate, Preston
This is an attractive corner of Preston city centre dominated by the spire of the parish church. The current church was built between 1853 and 1855 to a design by E. H. Shellard, replacing an older building. In 2003 it was designated the Minster Church of St John to mark the granting of city status to Preston.
