Severn Valley Railway - Victoria Bridge
This is a 200' span cast iron bridge that was at the time of its construction the largest single span cast iron bridge in the world. It was designed by John Fowler, the contractors were Messrs Brassey & Co and the casting and erection was by the Coalbrookdale Company. The bridge was completed in 1861 and carries a single track. When built the estimated cost was £8,500. It remains in use by the preserved Severn Valley Railway and is subject to a 15 mph speed limit for a single headed train.
