The Grade II* listed LinkExternal link "Bronze Statue Of Soldier Of Royal Sussex Regiment, In Full Dress Uniform With Plumed Shako, And With Drawn Sword; Cannon To Rear" dates from 1906. It commemorates soldiers from the 2nd Royal Sussex Regiment who lost their lives in military operations in Malta, Egypt and India between 1882 and 1902. Cast by Burton of Thames Ditton, the plinth has 4 plaques - two military scenes at the sides, roll of honour to rear and dedication plaque at front.
