Whereas the Fyrish Monument on Cnoc Fyrish has signposted paths and a grand view, one of its smaller "brothers" is invisible and needs a map to locate it. No signage to be seen anywhere. And no view. Indeed I met a family group of five lower down on the main forest track and the lady had failed to find the monument despite a Facebook description of the route and a helpful message from Google Maps that she was, I quote, "one minute away". Much smaller than the Fyrish Monument, there are many similarities. I recommend the 1:25,000 mapping to locate the monument. The final climb to the top is made on unmarked paths. The sporting route is from the south and the traditional route from the west. The paths are evident if you look for them. This view is from near where the easiest path hits the summit.
