The current footpath (it moves back from time to time) passes this old railway carriage. It is one of many chalets, bungalows and caravans which sit on this cliff awaiting their fate. Some are falling down, some have gone leaving a concrete footprint and some have smoke coming out of their chimneys, still visited and still loved. There are still holiday trinkets collected from the beach and left in the gardens. This carriage, sits, retaining its original door handles and some of its original identity. As the cliffs recede, in 25 to 50 years someone will photograph an axle embedded in the beach for a site like this and wonder how it got here.
