Building the new Pooley Bridge
Building the new Pooley Bridge
A month on from the previous set of photos, work has clearly progressed apace but without much visible to the non-expert.
This is looking from the temporary footbridge towards the village centre. The big hole in the foreground will contain the foundations of the east end of the new bridge. If you and I were in that hole we, I suspect, would just be praying that those barriers held, but no doubt to the workers it is just 'another day at the office'.

For a history of the bridges old and new, see Link .
