SK8723 : The Church of St John the Baptist: terminal head

taken 4 years ago, near to Buckminster, Leicestershire, England

The Church of St John the Baptist: terminal head
The Church of St John the Baptist: terminal head
Inside the church, at the western end of the South Arcade, is this finely carved terminal head. It looks to me like a vivid caricature of a particular person, perhaps the chief mason.

Compare it to the one opposite on the North Arcade: SK8723 : The Church of St John the Baptist: terminal head
